Pearl Gladys Butler, age 84, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 3:36 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson.
Pearl was a CNA for several years at area nursing homes. She later worked as a private sitter for elderly people in Henderson County. Pearl had an outgoing and fun-loving personality. She could make anyone laugh. Pearl enjoyed listening to gospel and Christian music. She loved hearing all about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents Gastel and Elizabeth Higgs, husband Paul R. Butler, brother Paul Ray Higgs, sister Linda, son Paul Duane Butler, and daughter Theresa Butler.
Pearl is survived by her daughter Vicki Patton of Woodlawn, TN; sister Joyce Smith of Tunica, MS; brother Billy Ray Higgs of Poole, KY; sister-in-law Holly Butler of Henderson, KY; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to Pearl's Life Celebration from 11:00 a.m. until the service time on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Reverend Tim Shockley officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony's Hospice, 2410 S. Green St., Henderson, KY, 42420.
