Michael Wall Obituary

Michael J. Wall, 84, of Carbondale, PA, died Friday, July 12, 2024 at home.
Born September 25, 1939 in Mayfield, PA, he was the son of the late Bernard and Mary Kuzmick Wall.
Mike was a 1957 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked for 25 years at Farview State Hospital, Waymart, PA, as a security guard until his retirement. He later worked for 12 years as a driver for Figliomeni's Drug Store and in guest services at the Mohegan Sun Off Track Wagering, both of Carbondale.
Mike also served for 14 years on Carbondale City Council and was of the Catholic faith.
The family would like to thank Dr. Neal Davis and staff and Terra Rumford for their compassionate care to Mike and his family.
He is survived by three daughters: Monique Wall Bednash and husband, Mark of Carbondale, PA, Shannon Wall Alws and husband, Karl of Carbondale Township, PA, and Debbie Brady and husband, Robert of Richmondale, PA; two sons: Allen Lavery and wife, Joleen of Scott Township, PA, and Joseph Lavery and wife, Simone of Carbondale, PA; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; two sisters: Marion Farrel of Delaware and Barbara DuTriel of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Joseph, Bernard and Robert Wall.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Parish at Mt. Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, PA, with military honors to follow at the church.
Viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church.
