Jacqueline Boneberg Adams, 85, of Phenix City, AL died at her home on Monday, September 29, 2025.
The Family will hold a Service of Remembrance on Saturday, October 04, 2025, at 1:00 PM (EST) at Philadelphia Baptist Church and receive friends from Noon until the funeral hour at the church on Saturday according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Adams was born June 11, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Albert Boneberg and Gertrude Wagner Boneberg. She had retired from Litho-Krome after many years of committed service where she worked in numerous departments. In her spare time, she loved to crochet. Mrs. Adams helped the Warm Up America! organization, making warm blankets for the homeless, underprivileged and others in need. She also was part of the Russell County Seniors Center crochet group. Mrs. Adams was also a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church where she and her late husband worshiped. She was a vital part of the Special Needs program at the church. Mrs. Adams was always giving to others in some way. In fact, she was known as “Granny” to almost everyone who knew her.
Mrs. Adams was an avid bowler in her younger years and was a Junior League teacher. She was also an avid hockey fan. Mrs. Adams helped the Columbus Cottonmouths Hockey Team by ensuring their team player apartments were clean and readily available.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Gertrude Boneberg; her husband of 60 years, Alvin Mitchell Adams; a son, Jason Adams; sister and brother-in-law, Rosemarie and Donald Allen; brother, Butch Boneberg; a sister-in-law, Gaynelle Casarona.
Survivors include her two children, Catherine “Cathy” Barclift and Mitchell “Mitch” Adams (Julie) all of Phenix City, AL; nine grandchildren, Heath, Sebrina (Jr), Holley (Phillip), David (Alicia), Cora and Alan; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
