CHANHASSEN - Best friend & devoted wife; dedicated mom; spirited grandma; and treasured friend to all.

Warrior // (wawr-ee-er) // noun // see also: Maryann Eastburn

1. A fighter who never gave up against all odds.

2. One whose fiery spirit undeniably shone through the pain and struggle time and time again.

3. Her determination was unwavering, her resolve unbreakable, and her heart was a beacon of hope in times of darkness.

4. Super Hero.

Maryann's life was a testament to the transformative power of love and perseverance. She was the toughest human, whose will to live burned deep inside her soul and gave us hope until the very end. She fought for every day she had on this earth, but that fight was ultimately not hers to win, and she is now the brightest star in the sky, continuing to radiate her light onto all who loved her.

Born and raised in Owatonna, MN, Maryann graduated from Owatonna Senior High School with the class of 1989. It was during this time that she met her soulmate, Kevin Eastburn. Maryann furthered her education at Riverland Community College, graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Maryann and Kevin married in 1991 and welcomed their first daughter, Miranda, a year later. Four years after that, their family was made complete with the birth of their second daughter, Jordan. Maryann's passion for caregiving led her to establish an in-home daycare service, a role she cherished for many, many years.

Her love for life was reflected in her passion for traveling with her favorite people by her side. Maryann loved walking along the beach searching for sea shells and sharks teeth while breathing in the salty air. Maryann's infectious enthusiasm made her the life of the party, and her radiant smile lit up every room she walked into. If you didn't know her before you came, she made sure you were friends when you left! She loved dancing, camping, fishing, and bargain shopping like a boss. Her unwavering support for Kevin's passion of music and performing was a testament to her enduring love and devotion.

Maryann was a compassionate animal lover - Dog-Mom to a few lucky fur-babies, and the most faithful companion to Vinnie, who walked her cancer journey with her every day for the past 11 years. She's entrusted ol' Vin to take care of his Daddy now that she's gone.

Above all else, her greatest joy was sharing everyday moments with family. Although her time with her beloved grandson Zion was unfairly cut short, she never failed to light up his world and filled his life with smiles, belly laughs, fun and love, and the imprint she left upon his heart will undeniably be his favorite memory to look back upon.

In 2014, Maryann received her initial diagnosis of stage three breast cancer, and she courageously fought for a year and a half, ultimately achieving remission for six and half years. In 2022, she was re-diagnosed with stage four, metastatic breast cancer, but her unrelenting spirit and unwavering resilience enabled her to maintain a courageous stance. Throughout her journey, Maryann encountered numerous obstacles, particularly in the past few years, but she consistently displayed unwavering strength, as her heart, beauty, and determination continually emerged triumphant over adversity. She was an inspiration to many who fought their battles alongside her throughout the years. She was a true Warrior in every sense of the word

We are at peace knowing that Maryann is finally free from the evil pain that she endured every day, every hour, every minute. Despite cancer's relentless attempts to take everything from her, she refused to let it define her, rising above it in true Maryann fashion until her final breath. Through all Maryann's toughness and stubborn attitude, please know she held so much love for every single one of you reading this. The good times spent together throughout the years provided her with many treasured memories to reflect upon during her quiet days near the end. Lastly, I hope you'll always remember her beautiful smile and her feisty energy so her spirit remains alive in your hearts forever.

Maryann's remarkable legacy lives on through her devoted husband, Kevin Eastburn; her beautiful daughters, Miranda (Shane) Orr and Jordan (Michael) Orlando; her beloved grandson, Zion; as well as her dad, Richard Polesky (Sherry Ball); her mom, Darlene Polesky; her brother, Ryan (Debbie) Vogt; her sister, Michelle (Troy) Grems; not to mention a whole lot of other important folks too numerous to mention that held a special place in Maryann's life.

(John 16:22)

''Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.''
