Mary Nelson Obituary

Mary Beth was a 1997 graduate of Shelby County High School. She played the clarinet in the marching band and took advanced art classes involving animal realism. She had previously worked as a veterinarian tech with the East Shelbyville Animal Clinic. Mary Beth was an avid animal lover; she rode horses her entire life.
Mary Beth was preceded in death by her brother, William "Bill" Nelson.
Mary Beth is survived by her daughter, Makenzie Nelson; her parents, Bob and Jane Nelson and a brother, John W. Nelson all of Shelbyville, Kentucky.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 18, 2025 at the Shannon Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Rayborn officiating. Burial will follow in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday January 18, 2025 at the funeral home.
