94, of Greenville, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 4, 2021. Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Madeline (Del Vecchio) Piccoli and sister to the late Florence Dimeo and the late Cecelia Cardillo (Rocky).
Marie was a graduate of St. Xavier's Academy and Bryant College. She was a long-time member of Metacomet Country Club, where she was a two-time Club Champ and had the joy of getting a hole-in-one on two occasions. Marie was also an accomplished bowler and captain of her league. She enjoyed playing the piano and baking. She generously baked for numerous family showers, weddings and events through the years. In addition, she was passionate about Scrabble and played brilliantly.
She was a kind and generous person, a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family and will be deeply missed.
Marie is survived by her loving children Brenda Chianese (John), Barry Paolantonio (Georgette), Doreen Tirocchi (Bob) and Lori Hickey (Bill). She is also survived by five grandchildren John Caletri (Jen), Andrea Dayotas (Peter), Caley Hickey, Jaclyn Tirocchi and Nicholas Hickey (Caitlin) and several nieces and nephews.
