Makenzie Nancy Albright, age 4, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on January 20, 2025. Born on November 23, 2020, to her loving parents, Fredia Albright and Phillip Albright, Makenzie brought boundless joy and light to everyone fortunate enough to know her in her brief but beautiful life.
Makenzie attended Yolunda In-Home Daycare, a place where she thrived and amazed everyone with her intelligence and love for learning. She learned to write her name and even read sentences, an impressive achievement for such a young child. Her excitement for learning was contagious, and she made every moment at daycare special.
Makenzie was a bundle of love, laughter, and energy, leaving behind memories that will forever warm the hearts of her family and friends. She had a personality that could fill a room with laughter and joy. She was goofy, funny, and caring, with a heart so big it seemed almost too much for her little frame. Her smile could brighten the darkest of days, and her spirit brought comfort and happiness to those around her.
She had a love for simple joys that made life magical. Makenzie's favorite thing was playing with her pink tablet, where she found endless fun and adventure. She also adored riding her Barbie Camper, blowing bubbles, and playing with her kitchen set and Barbie house. She found beauty in the small things and reminded everyone around her to do the same.
Makenzie leaves behind a family who will cherish her memory forever: her loving parents, Fredia Albright and Phillip Albright; her big sister, Za'Niya Blackmon, who adored her dearly; her grandmothers, Dianna Albright, Deborah Moore, and Fredia Magee; her grandfather, Phillip Jones; her aunties, Carla Blackmon and Tasha Patton; and her uncles, Allen (Christina) Chatman, Glenn Walker, and Timothy (Zipporah) Albright.
Makenzie also had a special bond with her cousins: Jayce, Jordan, Jakayla, Jada, January, Jamorie, Carter, Zi'Curia, Za'Mya, and Zakayvean, who will miss her deeply. She will also be missed by her other friends and family, whose lives she touched with her love and joy.
Makenzie is preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Blackmon; her great-grandmothers, Barbara Jones and Dorothy Jones; and her great-grandfathers, James Albright and Joe Cooper. She is now reunited with them, no doubt lighting up heaven with her laughter.
Though her time with us was far too short, Makenzie made an everlasting impact on the hearts of those who loved her. She reminded us to laugh, to love without limits, and to find joy in the little things. Her memory will live on in the smiles she brought to our faces and the love she gave so freely.
Rest peacefully, sweet angel Makenzie. You will always be loved, and you will forever be missed.
