Mahryah Murphy Obituary
Mahryah Murphy, 29, of Princeton went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after she lost her battle with cancer on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. Mahryah was born May 2, 1995 in Evansville and was a Child of God.
Mahryah was a graduate of PCHS in 2013. She was an excellent mother, friend, and all-around amazing person. She would help anybody and everybody and not ask for anything in return. Mahryah attended the New Life Church of the Nazarene. She loved going to the beach, which was her happy place. She was a proud baseball mom going to and supporting her son's teams and ballgames.
Mahryah leaves behind her three amazing boys, Brylen, Remington, and Ryder, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her mother, Bobbi Hook (Brian Bobbitt); father, Travis Murphy; grandparents, Jim and Lynn Hook; sisters, Loren Hook and Kayla Stewart (Cody); brothers, Dailen Murphy and Logan Lloyd (Erika); several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and special friends, Ryan Arnold and Crystal Hartley.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers, Kayrol Fenner and Florence Hook; grandfather, Ernest Murphy; and great-grandmother, Pearl Murphy.
The funeral service celebrating Mahryah's life will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2025 at New Life Church of the Nazarene officiated by Pastor Donnie Truelock. Visitation will be held from 3 until service time Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Colvin Funeral Home located at 425 N. Main St., Princeton, IN, 47670 for final expenses. Envelopes will be available at the church. Online condolences can be given at ColvinFuneralHome.com where you can share a memory with the family. Colvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Mahryah's family.
