Loyd Spence Obituary

Loyd is survived by his loving mother Ruby Spence. Loyd was a cherished father to four children, Sam Spence (Shauna), Eric Spence (Virginia), Emily Hays (Raymond) and Katie Spence. He shared his life and love with devoted spouse, Susan Spence. He also was the most wonderful ""papa"" to six grandchildren, Zachary, Mason, Joshua, Caleb, Lindsey, and Iris.
In reflecting upon his life, we remember Loyd most for his dedication to his family, and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Loyd had a successful career in the gourmet food industry, where he was loved and respected by all his peers. He retired to Portal, GA where he and wife Susan built their forever home and enjoyed life out there together.
Service to be held Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Statesboro with Dr. John Waters officiating.
Friends may sign the online register book at www.joineranderson.com .
Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.
