Lois A. McDowell, 92, of Evansville went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, February 14, 2025.
Lois was born in Evansville on May 4, 1932, to Oscar and Nora (Daniel) Byers. She lived the majority of her life in Newburgh.
Lois was married to Albert R. McDowell, Sr. for 40 years, before his passing in 1994.
She was a cook at Newburgh Grade School for fifteen years. She loved to fish, go camping and travel with her husband Albert. She also enjoyed listening to music, dancing, watching silent movies and sports.
Lois enjoyed and loved her family more than anything.
Lois is survived by her sons, Albert (Gail) McDowell, Jr., Bill (Melanie) McDowell, Michael McDowell, and Matthew (Tammy) McDowell; grandchildren, Aaron McDowell, Ryan McDowell, Casey McDowell, Tyler McDowell, Kristina McDowell, Allyce Hope, and Eric McDowell; and 12 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Charlene Corley and a number of nieces and nephews.
We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Solarbron for their wonderful care and compassion to our mother.
Lois will be laid to rest next to her husband Albert at Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh at a later date.
