Linda P. Abare, 76 of Malone, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 12, 2025. Frary Funeral Home of Malone is honored to assist the family during this difficult time. There will be no services at this time. Linda was born on December 7, 1948 in Malone to the late John L and Marie B. (McKenzie) Turner. She attended Malone schools. Linda married Stephen Abare in 1967. Stephen passed away on December 14, 2022. Linda went to work at TruStitch for some time before finding her passion as a housekeeper at William Mansion Nursing Home. There she could be found interacting with all of the residences, bringing smiles to their faces each and every day. Linda is survived by her daughters; Pamela (Horace Dehaney Sr) Abare of Hamden Ct., Lisa Abare of Plattsburgh, and Tina Abare of Malone, a sister Marion Haig of Malone, her grandchildren; Amy Hart and Horace Dehaney Jr., a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Linda Carter Abare, and a special niece Cindy Woods. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her siblings; Janey Matthews, John Turner Jr., Susan LaFountain, Sally Safford, and Reginal Vanette. Linda would spend her time being crafty by making wreaths and other creations to pass along to others she cared about. She loved watching television, especially Westerns and the Kelly Clarkson Show. Linda also enjoyed listening to Blake Sheldon. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.Fraryfuneralhome.com
