William Lawrence Waggoner, “Larry”, 76, of Winterville, passed away on December 19, 2024. Born on November 1, 1948 in Ohio, he was the son of the late Dr. William Horace Waggoner, Jr. and Ruth Cook Waggoner.
Larry had many interests and careers during his lifetime including a police officer and deputy sheriff in Athens, cross country truck driver, and gunsmith. He enjoyed sharing stories growing up around UGA where his father worked as a professor in the Chemistry Department. He loved to talk about his experiences he had in his careers.
Survivors include his wife, Leah Davis Waggoner; son, William Paul Waggoner; daughter, Abigail Waggoner-Beasley (Stanley); grandchildren, Dakota Waggoner, Rebecka McDougald (Cole), Chelsy Morgen Adler (Hunter); six great grandchildren.
