Larry Colwell Obituary

He graduated from Severy High School with the class of 1963.
Larry was united in marriage to Betty Marie Hurt on January 31, 1969 in Severy, Kansas.
He was a welder at Kitt Road Ranger Action Equipment, and assembler at AGCO in Hesston, retiring in 2010.
Larry was family oriented and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Colwell of Moundridge; son, Jerritt (Samantha) Colwell of Moundridge; daughter, Lisa (Jr) Clark of Moundridge; five grandchildren, Taylor (Ryan) Voth, Brooke (Addison) Kaufman, Alayna Colwell, Owen Colwell, and Chase Colwell; great-granddaughters, Harper Kaufman and Parker Richmond; sisters, Marilyn Snider of Eureka, and Debbie (Randy) Birk of Burlington; sister-in-law, Alice Colwell of Wichita; and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David Colwell and Sheryl Colwell.
Cremation is planned with a celebration of life service to be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Moundridge United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to South Central Stock Horse Association in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
