It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Darlene White, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7th, 2025, at the age of 71. Linda was born on Friday, March 26th, 1954, in Idabell, Oklahoma and resided in Marion, Ohio, where she touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
Linda was a dedicated cook, well-known for her love of the culinary arts and her dream of one day owning her own restaurant. She was passionate about her family, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her home was always filled with laughter, the aroma of delicious food, and the timeless tunes of oldies music. Linda also had a keen interest in racing and crime shows, hobbies she enjoyed sharing with her loved ones.
She is survived by her sons, Andy, Shane, and Chad White, who were her pride and joy, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Caleb, Shane, Allison, Kaydee, Lisa, Ryan, Kaitlin, and Ethan. Linda’s memory will also be held dear by her brothers, Jeff, Frankie, and Daryl Freeman, and her ex-husband and friend, Dick White. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandchild Levi and her sister Debbie, who she missed dearly.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life at the Edwards Funeral Service in Marion, OH. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12th, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. A brief committal service will take place at the Grand Prairie Cemetery in Marion, Ohio. Arrangements are being provided by Edwards Funeral Service Hughes-Allen Chapel.
Linda will be remembered for her unwavering love and kindness, her vibrant spirit, and her delicious cooking. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
