Julie Hamilton Obituary

Julie A. Hamilton (Bowen), of Flushing, age 68, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, into the arms of the Lord. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Brian Lenz will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral Mass. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Carriage Town or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Julie was born in Flint, Michigan on January 19, 1956, the daughter of Royal and Charlotte (White) Bowen. She graduated high school from Luke M. Powers in 1974, where she made several lifelong friends, and one that she has missed for a long time. Julie danced for many years with Lena Pelio and the Flint Ballet Theater. She worked in the insurance industry for 42 years. Most of her career was spent at Eve Insurance where earned her Agents License and made more lifelong friends. Julie also spent several years working for Pioneer State Mutual. Her friends were all so special to her, but her greatest achievement was her children. Julie's best times were spent with them and their families. Yes, she was a helicopter parent.

Julie is survived by her children, Emily (Michael) Longley, Grant (Kristin) Hamilton and Bryce Hamilton; sister, Beth Bowen; grandchildren, Kingston Longley, Jack Hamilton, Owen Hamilton and Kate Hamilton (aka Princess). She is preceded in death by her parents, Royal and Charlotte Bowen; and sister, Nancy Bowen.
