Julian Daniel Johnson was born on October 8, 1956. He was affectionately called Danny, sometimes Grasshopper, and sometimes Monk. He was the 9th child of 14 children, 5 girls and 9 boys, born to Alberdia and William Johnson, Sr.: The children are James, William Jr., Amanda, Johnny C., Roosevelt, Larry, Edna, Jerry, Julian, Cynthia, Alonzo, Dinah, David and Barbara. He was preceded in death by his life-long companion Lorraine Morrison, his parents, Alberdia and William Johnson Sr.; and siblings Roosevelt, James, William Jr., Larry, Barbara, and Alonzo
