Joseph Boardman Obituary
Joseph was born and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire. He attended Hesser Business College in Manchester where he received his associate's degree in business management in July 1952. In September 1952, he enlisted in the Army and proudly served until he was honorably discharged in June 1954.
Upon his discharge, Joe relocated to Massachusetts where he found work as an administrative assistant for an insurance company in Boston. Joe worked in the insurance industry up until his retirement.
He was an active member of the West Bridgewater Lions Club for many years. Joe was a baseball enthusiast and enjoyed watching games on television. He was an avid reader and favored books about war history. He and his wife Theresa loved to travel and explored many different destinations by cruise ship over the years.
Joseph was a very quiet and reserved man who often kept to himself. His easy-going and relaxed demeanor will be deeply missed by his loved ones.
Joe is predeceased by his parents and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Theresa (Parr) Boardman of West Bridgewater. Father of Robert E. Boardman and his wife Elizabeth of Fairhaven, Cheryl Ann Boardman of Dartmouth, and Stephen Boardman and his wife Heidi of Halifax. Grandfather of Amanda Boardman, Jenna Boardman, and Joseph Boardman. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation period from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 35 Spring Street, East Bridgewater, MA 02333 on Saturday, September 13th, 2025. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater.
