I just found out about John´s passing. I went to High School with John and had classes with him. I went to SAC then Cal Polytechnic. I joined IBM then was drafted and went to Fort Sill the same time John was there and never knew he was there. Great person sad about his passing. It was great to have known him.

Santa Ana College counseling students and the Freshman experience with him. I taught mathematics and made an instant bond with John. Felt I could talk about anything with him and he´d listen. Think he was that kind of a person for everyone he knew. He will be sorely missed by many. God bless his family!

John was an Army First Lt. who served in the Field Artillery at Ft. Sill, OK:
1968-1972.
He joined our St. Thomas More Honor Guard and served on Flag Tributes to deceased veterans on many missions.
I knew him personally as I'm the Veterans Ministry leader that I formed in 2010 with our founding pastor Fr. John Janze may he rest in peace.

John Acuña was my Jr. High school counselor. He was an inspiration and a good mentor. Very kind person. I last spoke with John a few years ago when he was still working/volunteering at SAC. I only wish we would have been able to get together for lunch.
