Jerry Selph Obituary
Jerry Claude Selph, 85, of Decatur went to be with his Lord Saturday, October 4th, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Graveside Service is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8th at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. before the service at the cemetery. Tom Merritt will officiate.
Jerry was born March 24th, 1940 to Richard Astor and Johnnie Louise (Williams) Selph in Van Alstyne, Texas. He was united in marriage April 1st, 1960 to Helen Allene Massingill in Hurst, Texas. Jerry was a retired paint contractor, and member of Crafton Baptist Church. Jerry proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Johnnie Louise Selph.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Helen Selph of Decatur; his daughter, Denise Tuley of Ft. Worth; his sons, Darral Selph of Hurst, and Don Selph of Aledo; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his faithful friend, Tippy; extended family and a host of friends.
