Jane Elizabeth Schoening, 60, of Mt. Vernon, IN passed away March 2, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville. She was born August 19, 1964 in Evansville, IN to the late Floyd Sr., and Georgia (Sutton) Schoening.
Jane was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and a past member of the American Legion Post #5 Ladies Auxiliary.
"She has grown in wisdom and by the Grace of God was at peace within."
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Floyd Schoening; sisters, Mary Butler, Tina Schoening, Ann Reese and Margaret Stanley; nephews, Stephen West and Jim Reese; companions, Skipper Thompson and Roger Kirk.
She is survived by her son, Dustin Schoening; grandchildren, Natalee, Nathan, Aubrey, Allison and Harrison Schoening; brothers, David Schoening (Rose) and John Schoening; sisters, Nancy Schoening and Genevieve Cox (Rodney); her niece who cared for her, Sally Hook; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 8, 2025 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 421 Mulberry St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Deacon Tom Evans officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am service time on Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Catholic School.
