Dorothy was my mothers favorite cousin. My mother, Ellinore, passed away in 1957 so I would occasionally write and receive letters from Dorothy that filled me in on family details that I had either forgotten or was too young to understand. I always thought of her as a favorite aunt and a special person. She was so kind, loving and caring. and I would say she filled the role of a surrogate mother to me at times. I have photo albums filled with pictures of my mother and Dorothy when they were in their early twenties and although they were cousins, they looked and acted more like sisters. Wonderful memories of Dorothy and the part she played in my family. Jeanne Halverson Richardson
