Connie L. Riley, 86 of Medina, Ohio passed away on November 3, 2025. She was born on April 29,1939 in Riverville, West Virginia to the late Victor and Beatrice (Layman) Michael. She loved Elvis Presley and enjoyed gardening, dancing and crocheting afghans. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary of the Marine Corps League and was very active in the community. Connie loved traveling and was able to travel and live all over the world with her Marine Corps husband, Haywood. In 2005, Haywood and Connie literally traveled the globe, fulfilling a promise he made on their first date. Connie loved entertaining and having company. She was known for giving her visitors gifts, no matter the occasion.

Connie is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Haywood G. Riley; loving son M. Jason Riley and his wife Heather; cherished grand-children Sarah and Becca; nephews Ken Michael, Harold Michael; nieces Jackie Montgomery and Cheryl Riley. She is preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Michael.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, 3:00-7:00 pm and Wednesday, November 12, 2025, 10:30-11:30 am at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 1:15 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marine Corps League Detachment 569. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.waitefuneralhome.com.

To Sgt. Major Riley and Jason,

We are very saddened to learn of Mrs. Riley's passing. It was always such a special occasion to spend time with all of you either at your beautiful home or out forca social event. Ms. Connie was always the perfect, gracious host and always made us feel welcome. Her elegance and class lit up whatever room she was in. We will always hold those memories close to.our hearts. May our Lord comfort you during this most difficult time.
