Clarence (Buster) Ebert of Deposit NY, passed away at home peacefully with family by his side on April 13, 2024, at age 77.
Words cannot fully express the impact Clarence (Buster) Ebert had on those around him during his time in Deposit, NY, and Middletown, NY. Born on January 4, 1947, his presence brought light and joy to the lives of many and his legacy will forever be cherished. On the day of April 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, he peacefully embarked on his next journey. While we mourn his physical absence, we take solace in the memories and moments shared with such a remarkable soul. Clarence's spirit will continue to live on in our hearts, reminding us of the kindness and love he shared with all those fortunate enough to have known him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela, of 56 years; 4 children: Larry Ebert and wife Sandra, of Campbell Hall, NY, Ray Dobbins and wife Carol, of Wallkill, NY, George Jackson and companion Colleen, of Walton, NY, and Jan Hicks-Doland and husband Phill, of Huguenot, NY; and special lady, Tara Rogers of East Branch NY. He has many grandchildren: Kayle Edgel and husband Matt, Jarrett Ebert and companion Kia, Amber Cimorelli and her guinea pigs, Rebecca Jackson and companion Keifer, Lilly, Grien, and Reid Jackson, Neal Jr and Wayne Hicks, and Beth, Amy, Sarah and Ray Jr. Dobbins; and great grandchildren: Axel, Cameron, Ranson, Scarlett, Atticus, Christopher, Makensie, Skylar, Cameron, Kody, Tyler, and Noah. He is also survived by siblings: Julie Vernold and husband Jack, Chris Ebert and companion Annaleis, David Johnson and wife Carol, Elias Tucker and wife Margaret, and sister in law Barbara Ebert, and many many nieces and nephews that he loved very much. He was predeceased by: in laws, Forrest and Janet Rogers; daughter in law, Robin Jackson; parents Esther and Vince Ebert; brother in law, George Rogers; and siblings Butch, Anna, Walt, Debbie, Robert, Allen and Christina; BFF Brian Felter; cousin, Tom Newman; and countless other family and friends. Buster is also survived by his second wife with best intentions, Judy Felter of Fishs Eddy, NY, and her children, Brian Jr. and wife, Adriana, Sean Felter and wife, Angie, which he loved just as if they were his own; his best buddy, Roland Bojo and wife, Sally; and very special long time friends and buddies, Doug and Dave Norwood, who he loved dearly, and all of his entire band of brothers from the American Legion Post 289 in Hancock, NY.
Buster was a military hero, serving in the Vietnam War from 1966-1967, earning him many medals including 3 Purple Hearts the Combat V for valor, the Silver and Bronze Stars, just to name a few. He was just recently honored by his American Legion Post 289 with a quilt of honor blanket. Buster loved spending time with family and friends and making new friends with everyone he met. He loved all his buddies and friends and his 2 and 4 legged pets. He loved his Katie dog, his horse Zanzabar, and his chicken Itty Bitty Baby. He loved riding his horse, and his grandpups: Reapy, Deepy, Doodaly Doo, Gypsy Rose, his little girl who attended all his hospital stays, and big boy Utley. Buster also loved all his toys; his snow mobile, 4 wheelers, his mule, lawn mowers, and farm machinery.
A celebration of life, with military hours starting a 1PM, will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the East Branch Fire Hall, 29 Bridge St., East Branch, NY, 13756.
