Mrs. Carolyn Arrington Bryant, 71, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina transitioned on March 1, 2023.
Carolyn Mae Arrington Bryant departed this life with dignity and respect on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 surrounded by her son and loved ones.
She was born to the late Thelma Williams and the late Eddie Arrington.
Carolyn was preceded in death by the love of her life of 47 years, Haldrick Bryant, a sister Barbara Ann Hedgepeth, and sister Mable Williams.
Carolyn except that Christ at an early age and became a member of Greater Mount Hermon until her union with Haldrick and became a member of Red Budd Holiness Church in Rocky Mount.
Carolyn retired from the school system as a nutritionist, a profession that she loved. She enjoyed watching all " her children" grow up and become adults. Carolyn will be most remembered for the love she had for family and her compassion to help others. She loved to dress sharply often being referred to as "Mrs. Chancellor".
She was a devoted wife a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Darrick Bryant of Rocky Mount, a daughter Yevette Bryant of Cary, a grandson Adarrious Watson of Rocky Mount and a God granddaughter, Anaya Johnson of Rocky Mount, a sister Phyllis Moore of rocky Mount, four brothers in las: Charles Bryant (Evangeline), John Bryant (Brenda), David Bryant (Shirley) and Linwood Bryant (Catherine). She leaves her loving God daughters Kim Reyer, Shamara Martin and Cassandra Whitaker all of Rocky Mount, a God sister Harriet Harris, two special cousins, James "Bunky" Evans and Glenn Evans, and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and great nephews.
A Visitation will be held for Mrs. Bryant on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Greater New Testament Holy Church located at 9201 County Line Rd in Sharpsburg, North Carolina. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 1:00 pm with Apostle Patrick Avent officiating. The Interment will take place immediately after the service in the William Chapel Church Cemetery in Elm City, North Carolina.
