Barbara Adell (Huntley) Jackson was born on May 8, 1949, to Joseph Huntley, Sr. and Evelyn Huntley. A proud graduate of Emerson High School, Class of 1967. Barbara dedicated 30 years of loyal service to Anderson Development Company until its closure in 2005. She continued her professional journey with ICO Polymer North America (Schulman Co.), where she remained until her retirement in 2017.

Barbara lived a life grounded in love, faith, and meaningful connections. Known for her warm spirit and kind heart, she brought light and joy wherever she went. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. A faithful member of St. Timothy Community Church. Barbara served with grace as the secretary of the May Birthday Group. She was also an avid reader and a devoted fan of her favorite show, Jeopardy.

In the summer of 1964, Barbara met the love of her life, Felton C. Jackson. They were united in holy matrimony on January 26, 1969, and together shared a beautiful journey of 55 years. Their union was blessed with two daughters, whom she loved dearly.

On Monday, July 7, 2025, Barbara peacefully completed her earthly journey and was called home to be with the Lord.

She was joyfully reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Felton C. Jackson; her parents, Joseph Huntley, Sr. and Evelyn (Thomas) Robinson; her siblings, Joseph Huntley, Jr., and Debra Huntley; her uncles, William Skinner and James Thomas; her aunts, Sarah Skinner and Helen Gatlin; her mothers -in-law, Earline Jackson and Mae Janette Riggs; her brothers-in-law, Eardie Jackson and Peter Riggs; her sister-in-law, Argie Lee Jackson; and dear friends, Essie Jones and Julia Woods.

Barbara leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Briana Jackson and Dana (Melvin) Foggey, both of Merrillville, Indiana; her treasured grandchildren, Daria Johnson, Dylan Foggey, and Dawson Foggey; her devoted sister, Darlene .S Johnson; sisters-in-law, Patricia Gibson and Vickie Patterson, and Jeanette Riggs; thirteen nephews, ten nieces; best friends, Kathy Smith, Brenda Gates-James, and Mattie Perry; and a host of extended family and lifelong friends.

Barbara's life was a true testament to grace, resilience, and unwavering love. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
