Died: December 23, 2023 in Bloomington, IL
Lois M. Wilhelm, 90, of Bloomington, formerly of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday December 23, 2023.
Funeral services will be private with a burial at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.
Lois was born on January 1, 1933 in Ottawa, the daughter of Herbert and Pauline (Michaels) Trevier. She married James Wilhelm on March 29, 1951 in Ottawa and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2006. Lois worked in the office at Rivershores Nursing Home in Marseilles for many years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ottawa for a long time before moving away from the area. Family was Lois's life. She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as her cats. Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Heritage of Bloomington for treating her like family and taking such good care of her over the years.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Lori (Greg) Hanson; grandchildren, Michael (Courtney) Aussem, Emily Aussem, Lauren Aussem, Luke Hanson, Brett Hanson, Cara (Josh) Marco, and Kylie Wilhelm; and great grandchildren, Sophie, Grace, and Michael Jr. Aussem. She was preceded in death by her husband James; and sons, James and Thomas Wilhelm.
