Richard Tatro Obituary

Richard Charles Tatro, 76, of Richmond, NH, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2025. Born on June 30, 1948 in Keene, NH, he was the son of the late Earl and Helen (Anderson) Tatro. Richard grew up in Keene and during his younger years, he served his country in the United States Air Force at the Lackland Air Force Base. His career in the Air Force consisted of being a turbo-prop aircraft maintenance specialist at Sheppard Aire Force Base in Texas and at the Department of the Air Force Headquarters Air Base in San Fransico, CA. At the end of his decorated career, he was honorably discharged at the age of 25 as an E4 Sergeant by Major William Sawyer at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. A family man, Richard loved spending time singing around campfires and cooking on the grill with family and friends and teaching his grandson how to play the guitar. He enjoyed spending time outside taking pictures of the wildlife, mushrooms, salamanders, or the deer that would visit the backyard. He will always be remembered and surely never forgotten. He is survived by his wife Debra Tatro; children Denis, Carol, Tim, Mark, Stephanie, and Tanya; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially his little Man Chaz who made him light up daily. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Shirley, and brother Dave. Services are under the care of Cheshire Family Funeral Home, Chapel, and Crematories. www.cheshirefamilyfh.com.
