I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Chuck Bruce. As the superintendent of schools in Wilton CT I was most fortunate to serve under the leadership of Chuck when he was the chairman of the board. He was a renaissance leader, a person of high ideals and deep convictions, a champion of the fine and performing arts and above all an advocate for students.

I will always remember Charlies great laugh and his interest in discussing all things relating to Children's Education. I know Wilton was better off for Charlie's work on the Wilton Board of Education including his being Leader of the Board for many years.
Mary and I will always remember sharing New Years Eve with Kathy and Charlie for so many years.

I was sorry to hear about Charlie's passing. I knew him while I was at Scott Farrar for a year and a half. For the first months he was able to be involved in a number of activities including trivia and Bingo. He had a great personality, and I hope Kathy and the rest of the family can find some peace.

Charlie was a good friend of my parents and kindly took the photos at our wedding in 1989. My favorite part was overhearing him chatting with someone in the background of the video "did we look that young at our weddings??" He was always kind to young people and a truly good man. Condolences to all the family.
