Marcia Mayberry Obituary

Marcia Anne Creswell Mayberry – Age 85
A native of Kenosha, WI died at a local hospital on July 8, 2024. She was the daughter of Dr. Clifford M. Creswell and Dorothy Beaman Creswell. Marcia graduated from the University of Iowa where she met Merlin L. "Skip" Mayberry. Skip's work took them to Waterloo, IA, Albuquerque, NM and finally Mobile, AL. Marcia continued her studies earning a graduate degree from the University of South Alabama. She was the long-time Math Department Chair and taught Mathematics at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School for over 30 years.
She was a past Regent of the Mobile Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Marcia was a talented Alto and enjoyed bell ringing. She sang in many church choirs including Musica Sacra and finally with St. Luke's Episcopal Church where she was also a member of the Church Vestry.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother Clifford "Chris" Creswell. She is survived by her children; Michael M. (Michele) Mayberry of Mobile, AL, Sharon K. Mayberry, M.D. of Pensacola, FL and Brian C. (Lucibeth) Mayberry of Franklin, TN, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her brother-in-law Terry D. Mayberry and her sister-in-law Linda M. Legg of West Des Moines, IA along with nieces and a nephew.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
