In 2003 I was working for the Griffin's interior designer and had become acquainted with Frank and Anne through my work. As I was expecting my first child and was getting ready to stop working, Frank took me out to lunch as a goodbye gesture. I think he was rather impressed with the amount of food I was able to put away. I remember that Frank told me that even though his children were grown, they would still get into bed next to him if they came over on the weekend while he was reading the morning paper. I could tell that he was very proud of his family and I am so sorry for your loss of such a loving husband and dad.

Frank was a wonderful person. He was the team Doctor for the team I coached at Los Gatos high school. He became a friend I confided in many occasions. Frank was a great person. I have many find memories ❤ and will miss knowing Frank.

From the St Mary's Sunday Bulletin, 2013
Dr. Frank Griffin mended numerous LGHS Footballers. Longtime Los Gatos HS football followers know that Dr. G. was the team's mandatory on-field medic during home football games. He served in that capacity during the early regime of head coach Butch Cattolico (also a SM Parishioner), as well as for Bob Skuse and Charlie Wedemeyer.
Young Frank enrolled at Serra High School. He played football for the Padres and decided he would study to become a medical doctor. In 1971 he came to Los Gatos because, as he says, it was a quiet town. Here he opened Frank Griffin, M.D. Inc., at 248 Los Gatos-Saratoga Road steps from Larry Petulla's Physical Therapy Offices. (Petulla's son was a great running back at LGHS. Larry and Charlotte Petulla were also St. Mary's parishioners)
At one game Griffin faced a dilemmaSerra, his prep school alma mater, came to Helm field to meet the Wildcats in a playoff game. I didn't know who to pull for, said Dr. G. The Padres won the close, well-played game. Griffin and his wife, Ann Marie, were part of a committee that founded LGHS's 100-page pictorial football programsold at home games. Frank and Ann graduated five from LGHS. Bob Bresniker
