David Branon Obituary

David "Dave" Anderson Branon a dedicated businessman, a mentor to many and a friend to all, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2023 in Spokane, WA. due to complications from a 10-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. Dave was born in Burlington, VT. May 14, 1945 on Mother's Day, to Robert and Elizabeth (Betty) Branon. Dave devoted his entire professional career, over 40 years, as Owner/General Contractor of David Branon Construction, Inc. in Morgan Hill, CA. He was a passionate husband and father, inspiring sibling and made an everlasting impression on everyone he encountered. Dave's quick wit and humor was noted and admired by many - he lived a simple life; he was a simple man. When not working, his passions were playing softball, deer hunting in Vermont, nurturing his immaculate garden and golfing with family and friends. He was the BBQ grill master; spearheading the Branon Family Reunions feast and volunteering 5 years at the Live Oak Booster Club in Morgan Hill, CA. Additionally, he was an avid sports fan rooting for the Oakland Raiders & San Francisco Giants. Whether relaxing at the Sunnyside patio, a breathtaking deck at the cabin or under that big oak tree, Dave spent countless hours with his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends telling stories, sharing knowledge, expressing love all while capturing everlasting memories.Dave is survived by his beautiful wife of 57 years, Kay Plott Branon, his 4 children; Laura (Tracey) Stephens, Chris (Christine) Branon, Lisa (Kenny) Reini, Susie (Charlie) Sanchez; 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren as well as his 7 siblings; Pat Branon, Pete (Nancy) Branon, Sara (Bill) Kittell, Julie (Joe) Patrissi, Karen (Richard) Toubman, Betsy (John) Depman and Bruce (Natalie) Branon. He is preceded in death by his parents; Robert and Elizabeth (Betty) Branon, brother Robert Jr. (Bobby) and 2 in-laws; Nancy Best Branon and David Magnan.A celebration of life honoring this incredible man, Dave, will be held in the spring of 2024 in Spokane, WA.
