Anne Jager Obituary

Anne Jager passed away peacefully on the evening of September 23rd, 2023 with her family by her side. She was 96. She lived a very full and blessed life. Anne was born to James and Hazel Leahey and raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania along with her bother Thomas. After graduation from college, she worked in the Pentagon before joining United Airlines where she met her husband Kenneth in Los Angeles. They later moved to Northern California where they raised their children in Los Gatos. She earned a degree in Psychology and spent years counseling disadvantaged children. She had a passion for cooking, loved history, literature, the arts and was devoted to her Catholic faith. Everyone loved Anne. She lived throughout her long life with grace, humor and love for all around her. She was married to Kenneth until his death in 2000. She leaves behind her devoted daughters, Christie, Susan, Kathleen (Kevin) Blankenship, Elizabeth (Eric) Barkey, and grandson Thomas Barkey. She also leaves behind many devoted friends and neighbors. A private ceremony is planned in Sausalito, one of her favorite places and where she first moved when coming to California. The family requests that if you wish to honor Anne's passing, that you contribute to By the Bay Health (formerly Hospice by the Bay) in San Rafael or to your local Hospice.
