Phyllis Higgins Obituary

Phyllis Gaye Higgins, loving wife and mother

HAMBURG --- Phyllis Gaye Higgins formerly of Franklinville and Salamanca went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Gaye was a graduate of Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo and Houghton College in Houghton. Over the years she worked as a Legal Secretary, a Customer Service Representative in the banking industry, taught various Adult Education classes and was a Substitute Teacher. However, her favorite was philanthropic work, mostly displayed through her love of serving others in practical ways.

Gaye is survived by her loving husband, Richard of Salamanca and daughter Major Kimberly D'Amaro of Nanuet and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Gaye was predeceased by; her son, Logan Ray, both parents, Edward Ray and Cleo Irene (Draughn) Bouton, five sisters, Wilma, Barbara "Bobbie", Patsy, Edith and Deborah, and three brothers, William, Ronnie and Gerald.

Friends will be received on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home 7 North Main Street Franklinville, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at which time a funeral service will be held. Burial will be in Mount Prospect Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at https://www.babbitteastonfh.com/
