Edward Minkley Obituary

Ed and I used to bet a lunch on who would do better in baseball - the red sox his team or the yankees - my team -- Ed used to pay for lunch more than I. He and Eileen were great people, I knew them by booking them on many cruises. My husband and I had a lot of laughs with them and I am so sorry for their children to lose such great parents. May Ed and Eileen rest in peace together again. He and Eileen will be missed but the memories will always bring a smile to my face

Eddie was a friend from the playgrounds and gyms of Holyoke . He was great competitor and we became competitive friends . Five years ago found out from the McGinty brothers John and Mike that Ed was in Boynton Beach and we visited with Eileen and Ed to catch up other of our lives . There after we went to baseball games and out to dinner . One of the greatest compliments I ever received was the last time I saw Eddie and he said to the three of us " I love you guys " Rest in peace old and great friend .

My parents , John and Sandy Wicker, were great friends of Ed and Eileen. I remember them as a child coming to our home for parties and picnics at the Reservation with the gang. Although I haven´t seen them in many many years I remember them. I extend my deepest sympathies to the family and know they are all remembering happy memories from their younger life together in heaven. God Bless
