Melanie Schofield Obituary

Melanie Kay (Grace) Schofield - 9/11/1957 - 7/1/2021. Beloved wife of 44 years, mother for 42 and "gigi" for 11, Melanie Kay Schofield passed away on July 1, 2021, at the age of 63 after a four-and-a-half-year battle with metastatic renal cell carcinoma. While she was special at many things, she was best known throughout the valley for her "Together Time Playgroups" classes. She had an uncanny way of creating a connection with toddlers and parents alike, many of whom kept in touch with Ms. Melanie 20+ years after her class. Melanie is survived by her husband, Col. Jack C. Schofield (Ret.), her children Alana (John) Kohl, Jake (Mary) Schofield, Colton (Jillian) Schofield, and Capt. Mackenzie (Jennica) Schofield, grandchildren Rylin (11) and Hudson (9) Kohl, Scarlett (3) and Bridger (9 mo) Schofield, Wyatt (1) and Brooks (3 mo) Schofield, and those who have yet to be born, as well as her elder sister Saundra Grace, extended family members and countless friends. A Celebration of Life event will be held in September for family and friends. Services previously held.
