Nancy Hawkins Obituary

Hawkins, Nancy Lee Cox Schaffer,

, 82, died Sunday, January 15, 2017.

She worked as a payroll clerk for General Electric for 30 years and following retirement drove cars for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. She was a 1952 graduate of Fern Creek High School and attended Highview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 23 years, Herbert Schaffer; second husband of 10 years, Robert Hawkins; and daughter, Nancy Carol Schaffer.

She is survived by her children, Randall Schaffer (Della), Cindy Hotz (David) and Bryant Schaffer; grandchildren, Kimberly Kerr, Chris, Matthew and Austin Schaffer and Meagan and Taylor Hotz; four great grandchildren, sister, Linda Cox; and best friend, LaGrada.

Visitation is 2-8pm Thursday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with private funeral and burial.

Memorial gifts: WHAS Crusade for Children for Children c/o Fern Creek Fire Department or the KY Humane Society.
