RYAN MISSLER
GROVE CITY — God welcomed Ryan Patrick Missler into his arms on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
He was born on August 23, 1975 in St. Mary's, Ohio.
Ryan was a graduate of Dublin High School ('94) he went on to graduate from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1998. He was a loving husband, devoted father, caring son, loyal brother and generous friend; Ryan deeply loved his family. Ryan was blessed with a contagious smile and beautiful charismatic personality. He inspired those who knew him to always give their all and to take advantage of opportunities to create memories when they presented themselves. He was awarded athletic Hall of Fame status at both Dublin High School and Ohio Wesleyan University.
Following college Ryan went on to play professional baseball as a shortstop and third baseman. After his successful baseball career he returned to the family business to serve as Executive Vice President of Missler's Irrigation. He loved cars, Las Vegas, golfing with family and friends but his favorite activity was spending time with his wife, his sons and dog Stella.
He is survived by his wife Heather (Curry) Missler, sons Trent and Caden Missler, mother Nancy Moots and father Michael Missler, siblings; Betsie (Jeff) Parren, Aaron (Michelle) Missler and Keary Missler as well as numerous nephews, nieces, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and extended family and friends that were inspired by the way he lived his life and loved him dearly.
In the words of his former coach, "We lost an exemplary person here." Rest in peace Ryan, until we meet again.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday August 13, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at St. John's Lutheran Church 3220 Columbus St. Grove City, OH 43123 where a funeral service will be held on Thursday August 14, 2014 at 11 am with Pastor Scott Ness officiating.

My most special memory of Ryan was his love for his family. Our customers would see the latest pictures he had of his boys. He talked about them nearly every day. He was so proud! He was a great baseball player with many records, but he didn't talk about those. His wife and two boys were what he wanted to talk about. He loved them dearly. We need examples like him in our lives! Many of our customers new the boys names and ages and shared their children's stories with Ryan. We worked side by side for many years and he was one of the hardest workers I've seen. He always had a big smile on his face. He loved people for who they were. He was the only person that I know that like everyone he met. He was the man that when you called him for something he dropped what he was doing to come help you. I know it will be easier for me when my time is up because I can't wait to see him again!

We are so shocked and saddened by Ryan's passing. He was such a nice, handsome, friendly guy. He and my husband loved to talk cars. Our prayers are with the entire Missler family. Having experienced the loss of our beloved nephew, Stephen, 1 year ago, we know the sadness you are feeling and pray that you can find your way in the most difficult of days, weeks and months ahead. Dear Misslers and extended family,
It is impossible to express in words not only the wonderful person Ryan was, but also the immense impact Ryan has had on our family. Every word in Ryan's obituary is absolutely true-the world has lost an incredible person. Times like these test our faith, but our family greatly appreciates the incredible quality Ryan brought to our lives given the short time we were able to be acquainted. We love him like a brother and always will have a special place for him in our hearts. We are planting a tree symbolizing Ryan's oversight of our property, and we will smile when admiring it's beauty. Thank you Ryan for all that you were and all that you will forever represent to us.
Love,
Jason, Erin, Jackson, Alexis and Tyler Stoner

We always loved Ryan and loved watching him play baseball in his younger years. He was known as the "Ryan Express" during the Dublin DYA days. He will truly be missed.
