Mildred Jones Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 12, 2025.
Mildred (Aunt Millie) was fortunate to grow up in a loving household in Milwaukee with her mother, Rose (Elmer), and siblings, Jeanette (Pecora) and Carl (Elmer). As the librarian for First Wisconsin Bank in Milwaukee, Millie was one of the early pioneers in managing information in the era before computers were invented.

Millie enjoyed traveling and collecting figurines from local artists in Hungary, Germany and other countries. She also loved to shop in Illinois and Wisconsin with her sister Jeanette. She was also an amazing cook. Financially astute and politically savvy, Millie enjoyed discussing world events with family.

Millie became a close part of the Pecora family when her sister, Jeanette, married Peter Pecora Sr. Millie was very close with her sister and brother-in-law, in addition to her nephew's Peter (Patty) Pecora, John (Annette) Pecora, Thomas Pecora, and Mark Pecora. Millie was kind-hearted and was always willing to offer guidance and help to her family and friends.
