Constance Irving Obituary

Constance "Connie" M. Irving
Constance "Connie" M. Irving, 82, of Stafford CT, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stafford, Connie was the daughter of the late Henry and Eleanor (Peirolo) Willis. After raising her children Stephanie and Billy, Connie worked as a purchasing agent in the office of Engelhard Surface Technologies until her retirement. Connie loved adventures and shenanigans at Sun Valley with her sister and best friend Carol, and she enjoyed spending her time with granddaughters Morgan and Sawyer. Helping her grands with homework, bringing them to and from school, sharing trips to Forest Park, and family parties were dear to her heart. Connie was a dedicated member of the Italian Benefit Society Ladies Auxiliary for over 60 years. With the loss of her soulmate Neil, Connie decided to become a foster mom. After fostering a few children, a seven-year-old boy touched her heart, and in 2009 she adopted Juan. Connie and her daughter Stephanie shared a close relationship filled with much love and laughter. They were family but also friends. They were watchful of each other and made each other strong.
We say farewell to Connie, who is survived by her daughter Stephanie Irving and her partner Ronald Houle; son Juan Irving; granddaughters Morgan Canestrari and her boyfriend Bobby, and Sawyer Houle; sister Carol Delorge; sisters-in-law Diane Willis and Joyce Gottier and her husband Bob; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Billy Irving; soul mate Neil Phillips; and brother Richard Willis.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 9:30-11:00 a.m., with a memorial service to take place at 11:00 a.m., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
The family sends a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff at Hartford Healthcare Hospice, and to all of Connie's caretakers over the past few months, for their care and support.
