Tim Shown Obituary
Tim "TJ" Ross Shown, 22, of Jonesboro, was granted his angel wings on March 14, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 21, 2003, in Jonesboro to Tim and Jo Beth Shown. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Tim had touched in so many ways throughout his short, yet very memorable life.
TJ worked as a mechanic technician at Jiffy Lube and was an active member of Pruetts Chapel Methodist Church in Paragould. He was a loving, respectful son, protective brother, and the best fun uncle his family could ever ask for. TJ was passionate about many things, but number one, by far, was his family. Any chance he could get, he was with them, especially his nephews and nieces. He loved to play games with family, and friends from all across the world, watch action and comedy movies, and anytime he was on social media he was looking at funny memes, old trucks and cars. TJ was the family's protector, their "Big Teddy Bear", as he had a heart of gold. With a smile that shined white and lit up any room, he loved big and was loved by all. He had rough, stained hands, but he only gave the gentlest touch. He had an infectious laugh contagious to all who heard–that matched his glowing infectious smile. His personality was genuine and real unlike any other; reliable and there for anyone in need. He was truly an old soul with a strong love for old cars, and, as he would say, was "born in the wrong generation." TJ was taken from us too soon, but we will forever remember all the great times we all were blessed to spend with him.
TJ was preceded in death by grandfather Jimmy Ross Shown; Aunts Vanessa Jane Potter and Angela Kay Shown.
TJ is survived by his parents, Tim and Jo Beth Shown; his sisters, Ashley (Josh) Renfro, Madi Shown, and Whitney Shown; his brother, Jackson Shown; his future brother-in-law, Dylan Looze; his nephews Kellin and Declan Renfro; his nieces Abigail Shown and Vanessa Jane Renfro; his grandparents Brenda Frounfelker, Debbie and David Presson, EB Ashabranner; his aunt Wendy Campbell; his cousins Ethan Ashabranner and Eli Campbell; and a host of family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Emerson Funeral Home. A celebration of TJ's life will follow on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Jerry Pentecost. Interment will take place at Pine Log Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dylan Looze, Josh Renfro, Brandon Garner, Jason Garner, Zachary L. Veteto, and Jacob Andrews.
