Shawn Brunner Obituary

Shawn Ericson Brunner, 45, of Paragould passed away Sunday morning January 5, 2025, at his home in Paragould. Shawn was born on October 14, 1979, to Kenneth Joseph Brunner and Deborah Ann Hogan Brunner in Paragould. After graduating from ASU with a bachelor's degree in wildlife management, he worked for the Corp of Engineers for one summer. He worked for Delta Crawfish for several years, and Hyde's Pest Control before he ended up at Monroe Auto for 14 years. Shawn was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and being one with God and nature. He was preceded in death by his sister Kristen Kimberly Brunner; grandparents, Paul and Virginia Hogan, Wilfred and Katherine Brunner; uncles, Gene and Gerald (Doc) Brunner and many beloved great aunts, great uncles, and extended family members. He is survived by his wife of five years, Shianna Reyna Brunner of Paragould; eighteen-month-old daughter, Reyna Kimber Vaughn Brunner; parents, Kenneth and Deborah Brunner of Paragould and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other relatives and friends. Shawn also leaves behind his faithful old dog Milo. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Thursday, January 16, 2025. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Nelson Henderson officiating. All services will be held at the First Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Sutton Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Bruce Brunner, George Parker, Derick Carter, Bryce Decker, Scott Arnold, and Bobby Reynolds. Honorary pallbearer is Braden Knight.
