Joyce Cook Obituary

Joyce Marie "Jo" Cook, 66, lost her fight with liver cancer on January 9, 2025, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Jo was born in Paragould, Arkansas, on January 7, 1959. She loved people, especially those fortunate enough to be part of her family or one of her friends. Jo was quick to laugh, empathetic, and kind. She was a lifelong fan of Donny Osmond, and she always found enjoyment in an episode of I Love Lucy or a romance novel. Jo was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Jennifer; her father, Bill, her mother, Joyce; and her niece, Samantha. She is survived by her daughter, Jessica, and her husband, John, both of Paragould; her sisters, Patti, Bobbi, and Sarah, all of Jonesboro; her brother, Bob, of Jonesboro; her brother, Artie, of Raleigh, North Carolina; and countless other friends and family, all of whom mourn the absence of this beautiful light from their lives. Jo will be cremated with her remains interred with her daughter, Jennifer, at Greene County Memorial Gardens, and all who knew and loved her are welcome to join her family in a Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday, January 18, from 2-4 p.m. at the Paragould Community Center in Room A. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Jo's honor to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House or the American Cancer Society
