Eunice Blankenship Obituary

Eunice M. Blankenship, 89, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on July 24, 2025. She was born on January 21, 1936, in Savannah, Tennessee, to William Dee and Beatrice Sanford. Eunice lived a long and fulfilling life devoted to her family, schoolchildren, and friends. A compassionate and dedicated school nurse, Eunice touched countless lives through her work. She was a woman of strong faith and a longtime member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. She found joy in reading, spending time with her grandchildren and friends, and especially in caring for the many children she served during her years in nursing. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edd Ray Blankenship; her parents; one brother; and three sisters. She is survived by her children, Lisa (Marty) Binns and Eddie (Connie) Blankenship; five beloved grandchildren, Kayla McQueen (Derrick), Rafe (Carrie Beth) Binns, Blu Blankenship, Ross Blankenship, and Ramsey Blankenship; and three great-grandchildren, Kash McMahan, Scout McQueen, and Birdie Hall Binns. A service to celebrate Eunice's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Jonesboro Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Derrick McQueen officiating.
