Laura Darsey Obituary
Denise was born on May 29, 1963 in Atlanta, Georgia. Her parents, Joseph Don Payne, and Shirley Crittenden Payne preceded her in death. Denise worked in the Movie Industry Transportation Department for the Teamsters Local 728. She loved gardening, traveling to the mountains and to beaches on vacation. She was an animal lover, having loved and cared for many of her fur babies.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Darsey; children and their spouses, Aaron (Amber) Payne, Kayla (Geoffrey) Mahaffey, April (Kenneth) Hixson; grandchildren, Chase Patton, Breanna Patton, Madison Deaver, Madison Hixson, Kinleigh Payne, Wyatt Payne, Grayson Rose Mahaffey; brother, Joseph (Gail) Payne, sister, Judy (Rudi) Helms, brother, Robert Payne, sister, Brenda Payne; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted in the chapel with Pastor Jay Shirey, Pastor Tonya Shirey and Jeremy Shirey officiating. Entombment will follow in the Jackson City Cemetery Mausoleum.
Conner-Westbury Funeral Home 1891 W. McIntosh Road is in charge of arrangements.
