Heather Daves Obituary

Heather left suddenly after a short illness to go to Heaven on August 17, 2023, at 48 years old.

She was born in Mountain View California on Nov 1, 1974, to Connie and Roy Harris. In addition to her parents, she leaves her daughter, Eliza Daves, sister Lindsay (Dan) Minton, special aunt Diane (Howard) Hansen, Uncle Tim (Rachelle) Gray, great aunt Joann Gray, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Heather graduated from Arlington High School and has worked as a baker at Haggen's and has been a cook at several restaurants. She loved gardening all summer long on her 3 1/2 acre farm. She loved to can everything she grew in addition to making and canning soups, sauces, pickles, and meats. She raised chickens as well, and kept the family in eggs, which we all loved.

Heather will be missed and loved forever. Services will be decided at a later date.

Heather and I worked together at Haggen for several years, and remained friends after I left the bakery. Her early death comes as a devastating blow that won´t quickly dissipate, I´m sure of that. She was a unique woman, in her lifestyle and philosophy; an almost pioneering spirit not found in todays world. I came across a quote that embodied her approach, and made her chalkboard sign: "Live a simple life and work with your hands."
She left us far too early!

I'm sorry for your loss. I have all good memories of her smile and kindness from when I was Eliza's teacher in Darrington. You're remembered with love, Heather.
