March 27,1947 - September 7, 2023
Candice Louise Snodgrass, "Candy" passed peacefully on September 7, 2023. Candy was born on March 27, 1947, to Mary Louise Altree and Arthur Fillmore Altree. She was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Kansas City, Missouri then England with her family for four years in the 1950s. She then returned to the U.S., living in Lexington, Kentucky then Neenah, Wisconsin before moving to Hinsdale where she graduated High School in 1965. She moved to Bristol in 1965 to attend Sullins College and stayed there ever since.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Snodgrass, her two children that absolutely adored her: Jessica McNaught and her husband Kevin of St. Augustine, FL and William "Judd" Jones and his wife Suzanne of Taylors, SC, and her beloved golden doodle, Daphne. She is also survived by her grandchildren who thought she hung the moon and knew her as "Cancan": Chase Weaver, Madi Weaver, Morgan Weaver, Wesley Jones, Rowan Jones, Hallie McNaught, and Carson McNaught; her brother, Arthur James "Jim" Altree (Barbara) and sister Dr. Victoria "Tory" Altree (Dr. Dragan Djordjevic), several nieces and a nephew, as well as an amazing group of tight-knit friends that would do anything for her and her family.

I just learned of Candy´s passing. She and my mom were best of friends! They were friends in Hindsdale and roommates at Sullins. I sure bet my mom was up in Heaven welcoming Candy. I am so sorry for loss!!!!!
