Debra Kabinier Obituary
March 15, 1955 - February 12, 2025
Debra Lynn (Fowler) Kabinier passed away on February 12, 2025.
At the young age of 12, Debra was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. At 17, the disease caused her to make big changes in her life. Debra took all the challenges that came in her life associated with auto-immune diseases and turned them into victories. She had nine joint replacements, kidney dialysis, kidney transplant, and was diagnosed with kidney cancer.
Debra completed a 26-year career with the Department of Defense and received two Master's degrees, one in Earth Sciences and one in Strategic Studies.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Charlotte Fowler and her husband, Richard Dobie. She is survived by her three sons, Brian Kabinier, Lawrence Dobie, and Andrew Dobie, plus her Father, Joseph (Allan) Fowler and her two brothers, David and Edward.
She requested no services, flowers, or donations. The family asks that you remember her in your thoughts and prayers.

We are very sorry to hear of the loss of Debra. Debra was a dedicated member and genealogy instructor for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Arizona. Her online classes proved to be a real touchpoint for many members stuck at home during COVID. The classes also offered Debra a way to stay engaged at home as well, and it was a great match. She will be missed.

Deb was the most caring, giving, and intelligent woman. I knew her through SAGS and our DAR chapter. I took many, many classes from her. Such a blessing in my life. Missing you, Deb!
