Gerald Bolster Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" Bolster, age 76, passed away on January 26, 2024. Jerry was born in Greenville on January 31, 1947, the son of George and Mildred Bolster. He was married to Lynn Bolster for 60 years. Together, they had two children, Jeri (William) Hemmes and Jason Bolster.
During high school, he began his 40 year career with Meijer. He started as a grocery bagger and finished as the Garden Center Buyer. In retirement, he worked for Indena Pharmaceutical out of Milan, Italy for ten years.
Jerry is survived by his wife; children; granddaughter, Candis (Clayton) Thomas; great-granddaughters, Paris Almas and Skylar (Anthony) Smith and their boys; along with his niece, Tammy Turenne; nephew, Jared Rittersdorf; brother-in-law, Sam Rittersdorf; brother-in-law, Dick Rittersdorf; and sisters-in-law, Janelle Rittersdorf and Cindy Chaney. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruby Jo Lanning.
A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at a future date, with details to be announced. Hurst Funeral Home is serving the family and memories and messages of condolence may be shared at www.hurstfh.com.
