Robert Peatfield Obituary
Robert B. Peatfield, 85, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on November 16, 2024, in Lopatcong Township, NJ.
Born July 5, 1939, in Newton, NJ, he was the son of the late Ernest Cleveland Peatfield and Rebecca Montross Peatfield.
Robert enjoyed working on automobiles, talking about the railroads, and taking walks. He was a graduate of Newton High School, Class of 1958, and also a graduate of Churchman's Business School, which was in Easton, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Benak Peatfield. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers; Ernest Cleveland Peatfield Jr. and Lelan Peatfield, as well as sisters; Rebecca Mason and Betty Raser.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 8:30 - 9:30 am at the Finegan Funeral Home at 302 Heckman Street in Phillipsburg, NJ, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Philip & St. James Catholic Church, 430 So. Main Street, also in Phillipsburg. The interment will be at St. Philip & James Cemetery in Greenwich Township, NJ. Visit www.fineganfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.
Mrs. Peatfield would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers who took such wonderful care of Robert.
