Dale Becker Obituary

On November 13, 2020, Dale Lee Becker, 69, of Boulder, CO, after battling cancer, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Dale was born to Robert and Elizabeth (Gillis) Becker on December 29, 1950, in McPherson, Kansas. He and his family moved to Colorado in 1956; Dale graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder in 1971. Dale was always a hard-worker, beginning with his multiple paper routes as a teenager and continuing through a series of jobs in restaurants and construction, until working for King Soopers, where he was employed for 28 years. Dale's faith always played an important role in his life. He spent time working and studying in Arlington, VA, as part of his ministry. While working at Head Ski in Gunbarrel, Dale met and married Tula Stiny. Together they spent many years enjoying flea markets, garage sales, and spending time with their daughter Sara and granddaughter Mercedes. Dale will be remembered for his infectious laugh, bad driving, and his kindness to people and animals alike. Dale is survived by his mother Elizabeth Becker, daughter Sara Becker, granddaughter Mercedes Rodriguez (Shawn), grandson Ivan, brothers Jeff (Susan) and Patrick (Tina) Becker, sister Theresa Becker, brother-in-law Tom Peckham, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Tula, father Robert Becker, sister Cindy Peckham, and granddaughter Haley. Dale will be laid to rest at Green Mountain cemetery in Boulder, CO. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a service will be held at a future date.
